I'm 4 minutes away in Green Fields, just off Main North Road. Pooraka's a working community-tradies, families, people who value getting back to what they do. When you're injured, you don't want to wait weeks for an appointment. I'll see you quickly and get you moving again.
I'm James Brown. I've worked in sport for 10 years — AFL, SANFL, state basketball — and spent 7 years in clinical practice helping people who are sick of the "rest and hope" approach. If you want a physio who'll actually find what's driving your problem and build a plan that gets you back to full function, that's what I do.
Pooraka's full of hardworking people-tradespeople, sports players, families. I work with all of them. My background includes working with Port Power AFL, SANFL players, and State Basketball athletes, so I know what it takes to rehab serious injuries. But I also know how to get a tradie back to work safely, and how to help a parent get back to playing with their kids.
Lower back pain — the kind that's been "manageable" for years until it suddenly isn't
Knee injuries — ACL, meniscus, patellofemoral pain, post-surgical rehab
Shoulder pain — rotator cuff, impingement, instability
Hip and groin issues — especially in people with a footy or running background
Achilles and calf injuries
Plantar fasciitis
Neck pain, headaches, and jaw-related tension
Work injuries, WorkCover cases, and return-to-sport rehabilitation
Here's what's different: I don't just treat the injury. I assess how your whole body moves, where you're weak, where you're stiff, and why the injury happened in the first place. Then I build a plan that actually addresses the real problem, not just the symptom. You'll get progressively stronger and more resilient-ready for real life, whether that's your job or your sport.
Pooraka to Green Fields is roughly 4 minutes via Main North Road. Straight shot, minimal traffic drama, easy parking when you arrive.
I regularly manage WorkCover physiotherapy cases, including ReturnToWorkSA Physiotherapy Management Plans. If you've been injured at work and you're in the Salisbury area, I can take on your case, manage your plan, and coordinate with your employer and case manager.
Once you're back to normal strength, some people want to be stronger than they were before the injury. That's what The Comeback Code is for. It's an online program I designed for people recovering from serious injury who want to build real capacity and confidence. You work through it at home, on your schedule, with progressively harder exercises.
